Blog Tour – Author Info

I am involved in my very first blog tour and I’m so excited! Even though my date to post my review is not until tomorrow, today is the extra special release date!  I must get in on it!  So instead of my review I am posting info on the author of the book Hair In All The Wrong Places – Andrew Buckley. Here is the author info included on his blog ...

Andrew Buckley . . . the story so far . . .

Andrew Buckley attended the Vancouver Film School’s Writing for Film and Television program. After pitching and developing several screenplay projects for film and television, he worked in marketing and public relations, before becoming a professional copy and content writer. During this time Andrew began writing his first adult novel, DEATH, THE DEVIL AND THE GOLDFISH, followed closely by his second novel, STILTSKIN both published by Curiosity Quills Press.

Andrew also writes under the pen name ‘Jane D. Everly’ for his HAVELOCK series of novels. And look for his first upper middle grade novel HAIR IN ALL THE WRONG PLACES coming Summer 2016 from Month9Books.

Andrew also co-hosts a geek movie podcast, is working on several new novels, and has a stunning amount of other ideas. He now lives happily in the Okanagan Valley, BC with one beautiful wife, three kids, one cat, one needy dog, and a multitude of characters that live comfortably inside of his mind.

A geek writer?  Just my cup of tea!
Plus he writes under a female pseudonym? How often does that happen?  It’s like the flip side of the Bronte girls.  I like it! It’s been necessary for women to change to a more masculine name in order to be published for centuries.  Poor Jo March! It’s nice to see a guy who isn’t afraid to speak with a woman’s voice in a book, and even to be seen as a woman author.
It will be nice when those kinds of distinctions are not necessary anymore, but also it does speak nicely to the fact that women do support women authors.  Otherwise, the change wouldn’t be necessary.  That’s nice to see. I know that I don’t choose to buy books by gender, but I do notice my taste tends to gravitate towards the ladies when it comes to books and music.
Ok back to the subject at hand, it’s release day for Hair In All The Wrong Places, please look it up!
