Ok … now the hard part. 7 things about me… (they aren’t numbered because I can’t figure out the formatting to get them to line up properly lol)

I am actually consciously trying to add color to my blog. I think it needs some … jazzing up, and ways to move the eye down the page. I like what blogs like Death by Tsundoku do with color on their posts. I want to figure out ways to incorporate those things in mine! I guess that’s not really a fact about me, but it is something I’m thinking about a lot now so there we are.

I have two pets. One is a cat named Momiji. The dog is named Mr. Tibbs, but we call him Tibby for short.

(Isn’t he dapper?)

I have two kids. Jay (16) and Kairi (8). Here is an old picture of them. I have more recent pics but none loaded on this computer unfortunately!

I am a huge Disney fan. We live relatively near Disneyland in Southern California, so we have passes and get to go very frequently. In fact that last picture was from Kairi’s first trip to Disneyland. Found a newer pic!

The little one is Kairi.

Kairi is named after a video game character. When Jay was little I used to play Kingdom Hearts with him and he really wanted his sister to be named after a character from the game. So she was! Her name in Japanese means “My Ocean Home”

I always wished I could have gone to college. My dream was to take a zillion literature courses and become a librarian lol! However, I ended up working as an accounting clerk right out of high school and had my first full-time job at 16 years old. I think I’m ready to retire already!

I love to bake. But not to cook. Why? Not sure. I just love the smell of it, and the hominess I guess. Here is a picture of my crowning achievement so far. A Danish Seven Sisters Butter Ring. It’s definitely not perfect, but it’s so technical to make that I’m just glad it kind of looks right. It was delicious!

Phew! I made it through!

I honestly didn’t think I’d come up with seven things.

    1. Mr. Tibbs is completely amazing. That was his New Years Eve outfit. Kairi says he ran for President on the “Cookies for everyone!” platform. He totally got more votes, but lost the electoral college. 😉

  1. Crystal! You melt my heart. After I was blabbing on twitter about not having an aesthetic… Gosh. I am both honored and ashamed at the same time. Thank you!!! ❤

Mr. Tibbs is incredibly dapper. And your children look so happy! You must be a wonderful mother. ❤ I'm glad you like baking! I'm terrible at baking. Cooking all the way. 🙂

Lastly, this is completely a list of 7 things. You win!

      1. That’s so true. But, just like with reading, it’s about prioritization. I’m too focused on getting new posts written/drafted/thought up to think about aesthetics right now. Perhaps the magic aesthetic fairy will visit?
